tāhā dekhi' dāmodara duhkha pāya mane
balite nā pāre, bālaka nishedha nā māne
SYNONYMS
tāhā dekhi' — seeing that; dāmodara — Dāmodara Pandita; duhkha pāya — gets unhappiness; mane — in his mind; balite nā pāre — could not say anything; bālaka — the boy; nishedha — prohibition; nā māne — would not care for.
TRANSLATION
This was intolerable for Dāmodara Pandita. He became greatly unhappy, but there was nothing he could say, for the boy would ignore his restrictions.
